| Man is obligated by God to do certain things in order to receive Eternal Salvation through the atonement of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. All are invited to come and partake of God's grace, for it is by His grace through faith that we are saved Grace, is the unmerited favor of God in that we have nothing inherent within us that can save us from the penalty of sin which is death. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23) We are made acceptable to God when we place our faith in the merits of the Jesus Christ's sacrificial death . Jesus Christ, Who for the sins of the world died on the cross, That whoever believes in Him should not perish, nut have eternal life. Faith in the Bible is always ongoing, present tense, continuous action. God through Christ has made available to all those who are willing to repent of their sins, salvation as explained clearly in the bible: We Must REPENT: Unless you repent you will all likewise perish (Luke 13:3) Repent in the original Greek is metanoeite: to turn from one’s sins; to change one’s mind; and to turn one’s life around. We Must BELIEVE: Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved, you and your household (Acts 16:31) Believe in the original Greek is pisteuete : to put trust in; to be convinced; to have no doubt; and be certain of. Faith, and obedience always are combined with believe as one follows Jesus Christ unto eternal life. It would be better to say, "To go on believing" because it is always continuous action. We Must CONFESS THAT: Jesus is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the living God. (Matthew 16:16) For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10:10) Confess in the original Greek is homologeo: to speak the same thing; to declare; admit; and confess being with such an inward conviction of the facts. One confesses with their mouth of the change that God has brought about in their heart. BE BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST: And now why do you delay? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name (Acts 22:16) Water baptism is an outward sign of the inward desire to follow Christ, and work of God's grace. We Must go on living the CHRISTIAN LIFE: Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1Cor 6:9-10) Upon your obedience to these steps the following wonderful possessions are yours: ALL your sins are forgiven Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name every one who believes in Him has received forgiveness of sins. (Acts 10:43) YOU shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge (2 Cor 1:21-22) YOU are a member of Christ's body the church For even as the body is one, and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. (1Cor 12:12) For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink one spirit"(1Cor 12:13) YOUR future sins are forgiven as you remain faithful to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life allowing Him to further transform us through His grace as we live by faith and obedience to His Word (The Bible) . If we sin we must immediately confess, and repent through Jesus Christ who is now your intercessor. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1John 1:9) Sin must be put away through daily obedience to the Son of God who loved us and died for us. (Rom 8:18) For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36) Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life. (John 5:24) God Bless You May all the glory go to Jesus Christ Pastor: Vincent G. Artese Th.D |
